I hold an Associates degree in Early Childhood Special Education, (SUNY Farmingdale) a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Molloy College) and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education (Molloy College). I have taken several workshops in reading, including Teacher’s College Reading & Writing Workshops at Columbia University. I am permanently certified from Pre-K through 6th grade by New York State. I have almost completed a second Master's in Speech Disorders. I have taught, Pre-K, first, second, third, fourth and fifth grade, 6th, 7th & 8th grade Social Studies, and 6th grade Religion, as well as, fifth grade Math. I have gained my experience teaching, as an Early Childhood Special Educator, (years ago!) I have worked with Down syndrome students and students with several speech disorders. I have also gained teaching experience through leave replacements in local area public schools and substituting. I have worked in Queens, teaching First grade. My heart truly lies in teaching the younger grades.
I have a passion for History; I enjoy teaching students about the past. It tells us where we came from and where we are going. I am looking forward to teaching your child this school year.
