Welcome to Our Lady of Lourdes School

Our theme for the 2016-17 school year:
We are partners in peace with Christ!

We'd like to welcome Bishop John Barres as the fifth bishop of our Diocese of Rockville Centre.
Bishop Barres, we are all keeping you in our prayers!

March 1st begins the season of Lent.  Let us ponder what it means to have peace in our hearts and how we can help share that peace with others by good deeds and prayer this Lent.

Congratulations and blessings for our eighth graders who received the sacrament of Confirmation this month.  Thank you to Bishop Perez for such an inspirational Mass.

The OLL school community continues to keep our mayor and friend, Patti Ann McDonald, and her son, Conor, in our  thoughts and prayers. You are all a true inspiration to us and will continue to be so.

Our 4th and 5th graders did a Lenten Service project similar to the project our students did for Catholic Schools Week. This time the students made "Love Rock" (shamrock) well wishes bags with prayers and gold nugget candy. The bags were distributed at Sloan Kettering at Mercy Hospital. The students included their own messages to patients. They were very well received by the patients there.  We are very proud of our students and their teachers as they continue with these thoughtful service projects.
Thank you, Fr. John, and all who participated in our opening Mass for Catholic Schools Week. Our Open House was a great success thanks to all our student and parent volunteers, especially our School Board, and most especially to our teachers for their continued dedication to our school and our faith!
