Hello, my name is Peter Damour. I am honored to be your child's Religion teacher! Our Lady of Lourdes is truly a welcoming, family-oriented, faith-filled, and lively Roman Catholic community. I see Religion not as an academic subject but one that is a way of life, whereas the sharing of our faith, tradition, and core values exist. Every day I feel blessed that I have the awesome opportunity to shape the whole person and lead them towards God!

Favorite Saint: I look up to many holy people such as Saints John Paul II, Oscar Romero, Carlo Acutis,  Venerable Pierre Toussaint and Servant of God Thea Bowman. Another holy person that I look up to and have a devotion to is Momma Mary!

This year, students will focus on the ways in which Jesus has and continuously teaches us how to live. Students will learn conscience formation (doing the right thing v.s. the wrong thing), the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, the Golden Rule and of course the Great Commandment. Students will examine the reality of sin and necessity of virtue. In addition, students will come to understand what it means to be created in the image and likeness of God, and how we should respond to His grace so we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven.
