This will be my 9th year at OLL teaching Physical Education. Students are individually challenged to work at developing their proficiency in movement skills, fitness, physical activities and movement concepts. Movement is used as a powerful medium in Physical Education. Students can also acquire, practice and refine personal, behavioral, social and cognitive skills. Physical Education is delivered in a way that challenges students to be resilient, make decisions and take actions to promote cooperation, fun, health, safety, communication skills, and leadership skills. Pre-K through 3rd grade students enjoy fitness and individual activities. Grades 4-8 participate in Physical Best fitness tests which take place in the fall and spring to measure each individual's competancy in strength, speed, endurance, agility and flexibility. This year's curriculum will be different to follow Covid guidelines.
